Castleton 2011

Westleigh enjoyed another wonderful weekend together in Castleton.

We really enjoyed great country dancing Friday night, discussion and workshops, based in the Luke daily Bible reading on Saturday morning, the really lovely weather to go with the occasional heavy shower or two, as we walked a fantastic route through the gorgeous Derbyshire countryside and Saturday was rounded off nicely with some totally non-competitive team games! and a lovely praise celebrating Jesus, the light in our world.

A relaxed start to Sunday saw us amble down the devil’s backside, yes that’s what the guide called Peak Cavern. We could have used another word, one they use in their own publicity. Great fun, great guide, very interesting, very damp, very dark!

We rounded off with a wonderful roast Sunday lunch, indeed all of the food all weekend was wonderful, and a lovely simple thoughtful breaking of bread service, which lovingly drew our thoughts together in Jesus, (oh and finally a bit of cleaning and tidying J)

The Lord was very good to us and we thank him and all who worked hard to put the weekend together.

Thanks to those who have shared pictures, (click for more pictures...). If you have some to contribute, let us know!
